Currently, I’m on the road all week, and home almost every weekend. This means I’m unpacking and repacking some of my things a lot, and some of them never. To help keep the clean clothes clean in the middle of the week, I’ve taken to carrying a plastic grocery back as a separator. I’ll put the dirty stuff on the bottom, or on the left or right, based on how much there is, put the bag in between the dirty and clean clothes, and put the clean stuff in. This means when I get home, that I’m not just throwing the clean stuff back in the laundry, wasting water to clean perfectly good clothes.
I’ve also become a HUGE fan of Velcro Cable Ties.

I like the ones like this, where you can attach them to an end of the cable, and it doesn’t fall off when you unwrap the cable. I have one on my headphones, one on each of my USB charging cables, one on my network cable, and one for each charger.
Speaking of chargers, I don’t think I could travel with a full power strip, when I have discovered iGo chargers. These are just standard chargers, one for your laptop, one for your “small devices” that convert DC or AC from plane, car, or wall, into whatever device you need. I have a single charger that can simultaneously recharge 2 items, such as my HTC Touch phone, my bluetooth headset, Amanda’s iPod, her phone, or her camera. Just carry a small little “iTip” in the pouch for the charger, and change out the tip for each device to charge. If you’re in the lucky spot on a plane, you can even recharge these devices mid-flight. The laptop charger is no bigger than the standard one from Dell, IBM, HP, Toshiba, etc., and the one for smaller devices, including pouch, wall, and car/plane plugs, is smaller than that. 2 chargers, every device, neatly wrapped up and tangle-free.
